Bored at home with kids during this lockdown? Wondering how to make your children’s time more productive? Here’s a cool game we tried out as a family which involved thinking and drawing – a fun combination!
Year after year I have toiled hard for my children’s birthday parties, right from hiring the hall to decorating it and running around for the catering and cake. Each birthday went by with me getting extremely exhausted and not getting the opportunity to enjoy the day with my child and celebrating something so beautiful that I had been an integral part of myself. So, when it was time to organize my son’s birthday last week, I decided to do something different without having to go through the feeling of carrying the world on my shoulders to make it happen.
If there is one thing that I love more than eating mangoes, it is eating home-made mango jam. This has been some form of the attitude that I have carried for most of my life and I’ve begun to see the fallacy of that concept. After a beautiful family meal, I couldn’t believe what was in store for me next. Something like this had never happened before. Exquisite food followed by an extraordinary salon appointment was too much for me to handle. And we didn’t even have a reason to celebrate.
With so much of the kids energy getting drained off, the kids were hungry. We were glad that Funky Monkeys have their own in house cafeteria where the food served caters primarily to children. So we ordered the Margherita pizza, pasta & french fries along with juices which were just enough in quantity and suited their taste for a refill between their play sessions.Running, Jumping, Climbing, Crawling and Sliding… Play is what kids do best!
